Well - what a year, and it’s not over yet! Come and celebrate the joy of creativity with me, over mince pies and mulled wine. See where I work, work in progress and finished pieces.

There is NO obligation to buy anything, this is to thank you for your support, and to enjoy meeting you in person. I won’t even be selling cards.

Rifle through my ‘burn pile’, and help yourself.

The browser is full of sketches, at an event-only price of £25 (cards accepted).

There is lots of work for sale should you wish, including some recent pieces available for the first time. There’s nothing like the smell and feel of fresh oil paint, it just can’t be conveyed on a digital screen!

My heat of Portrait artist of the year will be showing in the background. I will also be showing the self portrait that got me onto the program:

Contact me for an invitation to the Private View on the Friday evening.

Facilities & access:

There are 3 shallow steps to enter the house. Just for getting over the threshold you will be rewarded with festive refreshments. If you have particular access requirements, please don’t hesitate to contact me in advance, we can make substantial adjustments so you can enjoy your visit as fully as possible.

My studio is down a flight of stairs including a turn at the top, and a handrail. The toilet is on the same floor as the studio.

We have 3 friendly cats and no other pets.

There is free on-street parking at the weekends, and on weekdays after 5pm.

Is that all?

I’m all ears for far-fetched schemes - looking for opportunities to develop ambitious work with social conscience for a public venue in 2024.

I am also exhibiting in The George Inn, in Abbot’s Leigh - highly recommended for lunch or dinner, with the beautiful Leigh Woods and Clifton Suspension Bridge making great nearby walking.

The famous Gloucester Road is a 5 minute walk away, full of independent shops and cafes. Many local artists are also showing work at an open studios event (I don’t play nicely enough to do that), click on this picture for the art trail map and info:
