A lovely afternoon painting from the slipway, watching surfers go past, and families rock pooling. The sea roared, and the spray blurred the distance. Rust coloured seaweed on the rocks, and luminous green weed at the edge of the rock pools painted faithfully to life. Tried to work on painting texture. Always takes nerve to add figures in at the end, but there was a steady stream of very happy surfers carrying their boards across the rocks to the action.
The original painting (sold) has been professionally scanned. Printed on canvas, the price includes varnishing, making it almost indistinguishable from the original.
