The human form
at the core of my work
Working from the figure is an historic global art tradition. I sell originals, and also accept commissions. Life drawing is a regular part of my practice. I talk publicly (including a gallery talk, and at TEDx Bristol 2023) on how the body is viewed in this context, and how that can work as an antidote to the critical way society judges bodies. If at all possible I prefer to work from life, as that helps imbue the work with a sense of living breathing flesh.
